The role

We are looking for an embedded software engineer to join the growing development team and to work on new and existing projects. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new projects and enhancing our existing code base for embedded software applications
  • Designing and implementing new technologies within an embedded software environment
  • Designing and modelling new embedded applications
  • Communicating and documenting ideas effectively with other specialist team members

Essential skills

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • C/C++ in an embedded software environment
  • Strong coding skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines and targets
  • Experience or education to degree level in software, electronics or another relevant discipline

In addition, if you have skills or experience in any of the following areas, this would be an advantage:

  • Analog Devices Blackfin & Sharc DSP Microcontrollers
  • 3G/GPRS communications
  • TCP-IP & Ethernet protocols
  • Serial communications
