COVID-19 Business Update #4

Following on from the announcement made by the Prime Minister on Saturday 31st October 2020 regarding an England-wide lockdown, we wanted to update you on what Cirrus Research is continuing to do to ensure the safety of our teams, whilst providing you with the equipment and service you need.

The key message is that Cirrus Research will remain fully operational throughout the proposed four-week period of lockdown:

  • Our teams are still contactable: whether you need to purchase equipment or hire it, you can email or call us to get access to the instruments you need
  • Our service centre and calibration lab are open: you can continue to have your instruments calibrated, serviced and repaired
  • Online/remote training is available: where physical visits are not possible, we can arrange to provide you and your team with the knowledge you need to get the most out of your investment

Our two main priorities continue to be the safety of our people and you, our customer. We’ve spoken to our teams and have measures in place to allow people to work from home wherever possible, so they can continue to provide you with everything you need. Where it is not possible for people to work from home, we have introduced a number of measures to help keep them as safe as possible:

  • An IR Sentinel fever detection system is on our front door to test people’s temperatures as they enter the building
  • Temperatures are also tested twice a day using a JXB-178
  • PPE stations are placed in key areas of our business premises, which include masks, gloves and hand sanitiser
  • Protective screens have been installed on all office desks
  • Mask-wearing is compulsory when moving around the building

The Covid-19 situation is constantly changing. If there are any further updates to how the business will operate, communication will be made via the normal channels: our blog, our social media channels, and our email newsletter.

In the meantime, if you are going to be working from home, don’t forget to take your equipment with you! As you might be a bit quieter in the coming weeks, now is the perfect time to get your instruments serviced, to avoid any downtime when you’re back up and running at full capacity.
