Our New Baby Leaves the Nest….

It’s a very emotional day here at Acoustic House. We are filled with excitement but also a tinge of sadness as our new baby prepares to leave the nest for the very first time.

Teenagers across the country are leaving home as they go off to University. Their parents are giving them a tearful farewell as they take their first steps towards full independence. They all know it will be OK but it is still an emotional time.

Why are we talking about this, you ask? Well, our very first batch doseBadge5 Noise Dosimeters flew the nest this week and are on their way to happy customers. We can certainly empathise with those parents saying goodbye to their babies.

Of course, we look forward to seeing them again when they return next year for recalibration. And, unlike students coming back from University, at least they won’t be bringing a shipload of washing and ironing (we hope).

What is the doseBadge5?

The doseBadge5 is the new generation of noise dosimeters from Cirrus Research. This fifth generation of the doseBadge has gone through 20 years’ development since the release of the original doseBadge in 1996. In those 20 years, we have shipped more than 20,000 doseBadge units to customers around the world.
