Long Warranty Period

All Cirrus Research products purchased after March 1st 2007 will be provided with a two year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. Also, as long as your instrumentation is calibrated annually by a registered Cirrus Research Service Centre, your warranty will be extended by a further 12 months for the life of the product.

The warranty does not cover user damage or mis-use nor does it cover microphone capsules, damaged instrument displays or rechargeable battery replacement.

Technical Support

We appreciate that if you require technical support with your instrumentation or application then you often need a response quickly. Cirrus Research do not utilise an off-site call centre nor a complicated telephone menu system. Our technical support policy is simple:

Automatic Notification of Annual Recalibration.

Annual recalibration is mandated by many acoustic regulations and is vitally important when taking measurements that may ultimately lead to legal action. Cirrus understand that the world is a busy place and sometimes details are missed.

Do not worry, you will receive automatic notification of any pending annual recalibration giving you peace of mind. Annual recalibration is also important as it automatically extends your warranty period.

This automatic notification only applies to customers purchasing products directly through Cirrus Research and not via our comprehensive distributor network.

Fixed Price Policy.

In order to make the process of recalibration and repair as worry free as possible, our policy is to offer a fixed price for recalibration and repair of all Cirrus Research instruments thus preventing any unexpected expenditure.

Simply contact Cirrus Research, or one of our Authorised Service Centres, with details of your product and we will provide an instant, no nonsense quotation. Cirrus do not quote for repair work, we only follow our fixed recalibration and repair policy.

This fixed priced policy applies only to instruments returned to Cirrus Research and not to any installed  instrumentation or on-site repairs.

The replacement of damaged microphone capsules, instrument displays and rechargeable displays may incur extra cost. Before replacing any of these components, Cirrus Research will contact you.

Fast Turnaround Times.

Cirrus Research appreciate that your noise measurement instrumentation is probably used frequently and so must be available all of the time. We aim to have your products recalibrated or repaired within ten working days from receipt at the UK factory and also prioritise overseas customers as we appreciate that shipping can take longer than this.

If you require a faster turnaround time then please contact our Service Department in advance as we may be able to accommodate your requirements – at no extra charge.

Returning Products to Cirrus Research for Recalibration and Repair.

As with all other aspects of your experience with Cirrus Research, returning products to us is a simple process. We do not expect to receive advance notice nor do we demand you contact us to get permission to return items to us.

Simply send the instrumentation back to Cirrus Research or one of our authorised service centres with your order number. In the unlikely event that your product develops a technical fault then please download and complete the following form and return it with your instrumentation. Your description of the suspected fault will save our Service Engineers' time and hence accelerate the return of your instrumentation.
