Service & Calibration Information

Why have your noise measurement instruments recalibrated?

It is recommended that recalibration of noise measurement instruments is carried out annually because your instruments and calibrators are sensitive precision equipment. Over time, due to movement and use, they require adjustment to ensure that the measurements you are taking remain accurate, helping you to avoid potential errors in your noise measurements.

Annual servicing is like an MOT or an annual check up for your equipment. This will involve a thorough check of the performance of the instrument, may allow for software updates and improvements to be installed as well as prolonging the life of your investment.

Having your instrument recalibrated will also help you comply with the requirements of noise legislation as well as extending your warranty period by a further 12 months.

For units purchased after March 1st 2007 your warranty is automatically extended for a further 12 month as standard (for up to 12 years).

For units purchased before March 1st 2007, your warranty is extendable for a further 12 month (up to 5 years) on receipt of your log book. This recalibration service is traceable to UK National Standards and provides authentication from us, the manufacturer.

Our calibrations are carried out in accordance with the recommendations and requirements of the appropriate International Standards ensuring that your equipment is given the same checks and tests that it had when it was originally manufactured.
