CR:245/3 & CR:245/4 Portable Noise Monitors
The CR:245/3 and CR:245/4 are self contained Portable Environmental Noise Monitors, designed for short and medium term measurements. Both periodic environmental groups and recognised noise events are stored, along with a 7 Day Noise Profile (time history). The instrument is fully weather protected, and can run for up to 7 days on the internal battery pack. External power can be provided to extend the operation of the unit.
The standard unit meets IEC 60651:1979 and IEC 60804:1984, and has the CR:245/3 carries PTB Type approval for a Type 1 instrument. In addition to the basic measurements and functions provided by the CR:245/3, a wide range of options and accessories can be added. These allow the instrument to be used for many different applications and in diverse measurement situations.
These currently include:
• Automatic Remote Calibration using Electrostatic Actuation
• Extended Battery Operation with external power source
• Remote Download via Standard PSTN or GSM Cellular Modem (CR:245/3 only)
• Solar Power Pack
When the CR:245/3 is fitted with the additional functions listed above, a larger case is used to allow the components to be held in a single, weatherproof enclosure. The figure on the next page shows the CR:245/3 fitted with the optional GSM Cellular Modem and the larger case required to contain the additional hardware.
