One of the commonly asked questions that we have is “I’ve got a new PC. Will the Cirrus software program X work?”.

There are many different versions of Windows in use and we still see customers using Windows 2000 or even 98SE. Our current software programs, NoiseTools, Deaf Defier3, dBLink, Noise-Hub and the SoundSign software will work with most recent Windows operating systems as long as you have the correct drivers and have installed the latest version. A new version of the NoiseTools software has been released (12th August 2011) with a range of new features and functions added.

The new version is v1.3.0 and existing users can update their Noise Tools software free of charge using the update function built into the NoiseTools program.

NoiseTools supports the optimus sound level meters and the Trojan Noise Nuisance Recorder and allows users to download measurements, analyse data and create measurements reports.
