15 Year Warranty for Cirrus Noise Measurement EquipmentCirrus Research is delighted to announce that it is now able to offer a 15 year warranty on its noise measurement equipment including its award winning Optimus Green sound level meter.

Under the terms of the new scheme, Cirrus Research’s standard two year warranty can now be extended by a further 13 years at no additional cost; that is provided the instrument is routinely verified by Cirrus Research every year. The warranty covers all faults on the instrument, as well as minor accidental damage, excluding the microphone. Continue reading »

When your instrument comes to Cirrus for calibration, we carry out a comprehensive check of the performance of the unit. The exact number of tests that will be carried out will depend upon the functions that your instrument can provide such as Octave Band Filters or Data Logging.

Every function that is available on your instrument is checked to ensure that it meets the same specifications as when the instrument was new. Some instruments will have over 350 separate performance checks carried out. Continue reading »

Before you send your instrument for calibration, check the following. Any test or calibration laboratory must be able to give you this information. Without it, you should question if they are capable of calibrating your instrument correctly. Continue reading »

We use the same test equipment, software and procedures so that when you get your equipment back, it will have exactly the same performance as when it was new. We will even clean your instrument before it comes back to you. Continue reading »

The simple answer is that we designed and manufactured your instrument so we know it inside out.

We have all of the information, procedures and equipment needed to service and calibrate your equipment and if there’s anything wrong with it, we can fix it before it’s calibrated. Continue reading »
