Cirrus Research is proud to be a Key Sponsor of the Institute of Acoustics, the UK’s professional body for those working in acoustics, noise and vibration.
The Institute of Acoustics was formed in 1974 from the amalgamation of the Acoustics Group of the Institute of Physics and the British Acoustical Society (a daughter society of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers).
As Key Sponsors, Cirrus supports the Institute in a number of ways, with our staff regularly participating in a wide range of meetings, conferences and events. Many of our staff are members of the Institute at various grades and several of our current team are undertaking the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.
Cirrus has been involved with the Institute of Acoustics, or IOA, for many years and with 2014 marking the 40th year of the Institute, we’re delighted to be supporting the IOA at its anniversary conference at the NEC in Birmingham from the 15th to the 16th October 2014. The Institute has some 3000 members from a rich diversity of backgrounds, with engineers, scientists, educators, lawyers, occupational hygienists, architects and environmental health officers among their number.
