Noise Competency Training Course
This training package is provided in conjunction with First Stop Safety. The complete Noise at Work Competency Package is structured so that delegates only spend a day actually away from the business.
Outline of the Full Course
Part 1: Distance Learning Package that can be carried out at the delegates own pace.
The Distance Learning material will take about half a day to complete and should initiate delegates into the basic requirements of Noise at Work and become familiar with the terminology. It will be sent prior to the in-depth workshop. A satisfactory level of understanding will have to be achieved before attending the full day workshop.
Part 2: Full day In-depth workshop at our training facility in York.
The delegate builds on the material from part 1 as well as getting plenty of opportunity for some actual hands-on measurements and surveys. After attending the one day in-depth workshop, the delegates should be capable of carrying out a Noise Survey and prepared to handle most Noise at Work problems with confidence and be able to safeguard the hearing of staff.
Part 3: Workplace assessment: The delegate completes an assignment at their own workplace and submits a report to the course tutor who will assist where required. This report should demonstrate the candidates understanding of how to make noise assessments and how to take suitable precautions to protect the hearing of members of staff. If the delegate successfully completes all three parts then they will be awarded a Certificate of Competency.
